Toronto Installation: Sunday in the Strand of 4C by William Ukoh & Raquel Da Silva

BOMBAY SAPPHIRE
ART PROJECT

Integrated Campaign

Since March 2020, Canadians had been living in one of the most locked down economies in the world. Which prevented many artists from showcasing their art in public or private galleries. This presented Bombay Sapphire with a unique opportunity, in the summer of 2021, to create something uniquely Canadian to bring to life their global strategy: Stir Creativity.

We partnered with renowned curator Ashley McKenzie-Barnes to tap into emerging artists in Toronto and Vancouver. In Toronto, William Ukoh and Raquel Da Silva created Sunday in the Strand of 4C, a multimedia experience based on the notion of self-care Sundays. In Vancouver, digital artist Ben Z Cooper created a physical installation consisting of a series of overhead lenticular lenses complemented by benches and botanical planters. He also developed a couple of AR filters that brought the physical experience into the virtual realm. The installations were promoted locally with tent cards at local restaurants with QR codes that led to a microsite featuring behind-the-scenes mini documentaries on the artists.

Video ad units introducing the artists were also created for social media and, working in conjunction with daily cultural blog Highsnobiety.com, we produced content for a feature article on the Bombay Sapphire Art Project. The result: over 13 million earned social and media impressions.
