There are certain truths about campus life that are universal: the quirky roommate, the frosh week pranks, the dorm room messes. So, we chose to communicate the cool product features of Toshiba electronics through stories that tapped into those experiences. This digitally-led campaign also included a really fun Facebook contest where people could not only win Toshiba products but some really unusual things like rubber chickens. Surprisingly there were as many entries for those weird prizes as there were for the Toshiba products. Proof that this campaign’s sense of humour really appealed to the target.
